This dress is going to be perfect come July and August when it's so hot and humid, I can't bear to wear clothes...but I have to, lest I get arrested.

This dress will be adorable paired with favorite J Crew flippy floppies...or dressed up with some cute heels and accessories.

Dayna: Use a heated eyelash curler. They make a travel one at Sephora. It's amazing.

Best Flip Flops Ever...On Sale For $10!

For the past four years, I've purchased the same black J Crew Classic Flip Flops every summer. And by the time fall rolls around, there is a visible footprint in the rubber sole.

Last summer ago, I decided to go the cheap route and try Old Navy's near identical sandals instead. But you get what you pay for, and those jokers were cheap. And in the end, I wound up paying $16.50 for my tried and true flip flops.

Now that summertime is almost back again, I was just about to purchase a fresh pair...and I got lucky. For a limited time, the Classic Flip Flops are available in black, brilliant navy, chocolate, metallic silver and white...and priced at $10.

Flat Out Fabulous

How sick are these flats? Yesterday, my sister and I met up with Amber (home for the holidays) at the Willow Grove Mall - and we all fell in love with these Whitney Patent Flats at Banana Republic. They're very Michelle Obama, no?

I'm also jonesing for these blinged-out J. Crew Metallic Mesh Flip-Flops. I've eyed them up during my last two trips to the store. Next time, I'm bringing them home with me.

Outsmart the Prepsters at J. Crew Outlet Store

Yesterday, I paid a little visit to my friend J. Crew. The purveyor of preppy has a store at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets - and I was absolutely shocked by the inventory. Many of the items in stock are still in J. Crew’s regular stores and on the website…but in the outlet store, the prices were so ridiculously low that I was pinching myself to make sure this wasn’t one of my 'everything I want is on the clearance rack' dreams.

Take this Convertible Swing Dress, for example. On jcrew.com, it’s listed as a new arrival and is priced at $78. But I picked it up today at the outlet store for less than half the price! The tag was marked $49.50, but it was my lucky day because all lounge dresses were an extra 30% off. So I scooped up the Swing Dress for just $34.65, which is an unbelievable steal because it’s actually three dresses in one!

I don’t typically buy summer dresses this early in the year; my head’s just not in the game yet. But then I thought about how scorching and sticky the summers can get in Philly - and how I complain, every year, that I wish I had more comfy sundresses. So I snatched this up, wishing they also stocked the dress in more colors. Unfort, they only had black.
