Grammy Gorgeous: Kristen Bell

Actress Kristen Bell looked stunning at the 2010 Grammy Awards in a long, black dress by Etro. mark Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh shares with Spoiled Pretty how she created Kristen's gorgeous red carpet look.

Face
"For Kristen's face, I first applied mark Calm & Composed Super Soothing Moisturizer followed by mark Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Buff using the mark Foundation Brush. To cover any redness, I used mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Fair/Light and mark Get Bright Hook Up Highlighter in Light underneath her eyes. I then set her foundation by brushing on mark Matte-nificent Oil Absorbing Powder in Nude Ivory using the mark Powder Brush. As a final touch, I applied mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush Custom Color Palette in Sandy to the apples of her cheeks to create that natural looking glow."

Eyes
"I wanted to make Kristen's eyes the focus of her face, so I started by smudging mark Eyemarker Color On Line in Jet along the top of her lash line using the mark Eyeliner Brush. I extended the liner outwards so that it looked like a smudged cat eye. I then mixed I-mark Custom Pick Eyeshadows in Tiki and Magic and lightly dusted onto her lids, using the mark Angled Contour Eyeshaodw Brush to soften the edge by blending it back and forth. I then used two coats of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black on her upper and lower lashes."

Lips
"For her lips I used mark Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in m.powerment Peach."

Grammy Gorgeous: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez dazzled at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, wearing a dramatic silver Versace gown, and 70's-inspired hair designed by stylist Robert Vetica.

Volume and texture were the hallmarks of the all-one-length, below the shoulder look.

Vetica started by applying Moroccanoil Treatment on wet hair and blow-dried it smooth, creating a middle part using a large round brush for volume. He then used a 1" curling iron, curling each section, and dragging the curled spirals down. He started in the back, working towards the front of the head and lifting her hair away from the face.

After the curled hair set, Vetica finger-brushed the look and applied Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream to hold the set and add additional texture. Finally he brushed out the hair, then backcombed underneath for maximum fullness and volume. Vetica finished with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray for free-moving, shine-enhancing hold.

Grammy Gorgeous: Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus' sexy textured style at the 52nd Annual Grammys was a perfect rocker chic look that played off her Herve Leger mini bandage dress and emphasized her long, natural waves.

"Miley has effortless style and taste," said her stylist Scott Cunha, "and I always try to complement this by working with her natural hair texture, accentuating the waves and texture with a curling iron and a flat iron."

To create the look, Cunha first applied Moroccanoil Treatment on damp hair for silky shine, smoothness and to eliminate frizz. He diffuser-dried her hair and then created a dual-textured look, first using a flat iron from the roots down, then a curling iron to wave the rest of the hair. Cunha applied Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray to her hair to separate and define, then finished with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray for naturally moveable hold with shine.

Moroccanoil is sold in fine salons and spas.

Grammy Gorgeous: Nicole Kidman

Celebrity hairdresser David Babaii created this romantic and elegant up-do to emphasize Nicole's beautiful bone structure and Prada dress design.

He began by spraying her entire head with David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray, scrunching into her hair for body, lift and texture. Next, he dried her hair using a large round brush concentrating on the root area for maximum lift. Once dry, he divided tresses into 4 sections (top, sides and back leaving the nape area free). Using the H2Pro 300SE Styling Iron, he created "ribbon curls" by taking small "V" shaped partings. To achieve, wrap the hair around and inside the styling iron close to the scalp area and pull the iron down (similar to curling ribbon).

After curling the entire head, he applied some David Babaii for WildAid Hair Polish into his hands, using his fingers to loosen the curls from the mid-section to the ends only. This is done as to not disturb the texture at the top and crown area. Next, he carefully created a side part and again using his fingers to gently roll and twist hair. Pick up large sections as you continue to circle to the other side of the head and pin where needed. Finish into a messy bun and secure with additional pins. At the top area finger comb the bang area into a natural falling wave. For a long but natural lasting hold, he used David Babaii for WildAid Mise en Plis Light Styling Spray.

Grammy Gorgeous: Ciara

"For Ciara's Grammy red carpet look, I prepped the face with shu uemura's new UV Under Base Fluid in Medium Beige (goes on sale online February 11th at shuuemura-usa.com)," said makeup artist Yolanda Frederick. "I then followed up with shu uemura's Nobara Cream Cover Stick foundation in 524 for a flawless golden finish. In order to complement Ciara' stunning Givenchy ensemble, we decided to go with a flirty lash and lots of shu uemura's Ultimate Mascara in Black to frame the eye."

"For cheeks, I used shu uemura's Glow On blush in M Amber 89 and highlighted with Lancôme' Model Mocha Cream Shimmer for more drama! For a perfect lip, I lined ever so lightly with shu uemura's Drawing Lip Pencil in Brown 710 then topped it off with shu uemura's creamy nude Rouge Unlimited lipstick in BG 940M. I then wanted to highlight the center of the lip with a shimmery gloss, so I applied shu uemura' Gloss Unlimited in BG 980N for that extra pop!"

Rihanna wears NARS Orgasm Illuminator to Pre-Grammy Party

Makeup Mondays With Mario: Tips For Rosacea

Hello Mario,

I'm amazed by your work and am a fan. I was hoping you could help me with my makeup problem. I'm a rosacea sufferer and makeup is a big problem for me. My cheeks are always red as if I have permanent blush on. I've tried using green concealer and/or yellow concealer to help cover the redness, but haven't had much success (maybe it is a technique issue). I also haven't been able to find a foundation to match my skin. I'm not exactly sure what the best approach is to match my skin tone. I find that I get the weird clown face effect and I don't know how to combat that. So any tips on how to wear makeup for rosacea sufferers would be great.

Thanks, Mitch! I know that rosacea sufferers have it more difficult then others when trying to cover up and even out the skin. I have worked many times with different women who have rosacea. 'Less is more' works best for this. Definitely go for a liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer and use minimal loose powder on the skin. Apply the foundation with a damp sponge by pressing it onto the skin. Try not to rub it too much.

You may want to add a bit of your makeup to the neck area as well and see if you still are not happy with the shade. To prevent the clown look, go with a deeper color foundation and make sure the powder is not too light. I'm sure you will find an easy solution so that makeup time is a good time!
